People would watch in wonder to see that magical hardtop disappear into the trunk, but they did not line up to buy them. In 1959 only the Ford Fairlane 500 had Galaxie badging to introduce the Galaxie to the new full size production lineup. ’59 was the last year of Skyliner production and had the lowest number of units produced.
