PROJECT VEHICLES FOR RESTORATION

1951-Mercury-CoupeIf you’re looking to start working on something with an iconic profile, consider the 1951 Mercury Coupe (above left) that’s just been listed by a seller out of Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada. It has a ’71 400 sbc engine and 350 transmission, though the car is not in running order. See the add for a list of what’s been done and what yet needs doing.

1956-Hooper-Bentley-S1Here’s a 1956 Hooper Bentley S1 (above center) that blends vintage styling with a collectible desirability thanks to being one of the few hopper body Bentley’s ever made. According to the seller, Beverly Hills Car Club, the motor is still in running condition. See the photographs to get a better feel for the blue exterior and grey interior.

1968-Chevelle-L79In 1978, this 1968 Chevelle L79 (above right) was stashed away in a barn and hasn’t left it since, until now that is. Now it’s for sale out of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. The ad states that It is numbers matching, but doesn’t run and is in need of a total restoration. There is some rust, but the seller doesn’t’ qualify it as a “rusty car.” See the images in the ad for more.
